7:10 PM on CSN and ESPN

PITCHING MATCHUP:

Colbert Hamels (13-7, 2.62 ERA)

Homer Bailey (7-5, 4.44 ERA)

It feels like a week since the Phillies last played, what with all the crazy weather and stuff. This will be Cole’s first start in over two weeks after some minor shoulder issues, so let’s all cross our fingers that homebody’s feeling better.

1:05PM on CSN and MLB Network

PITCHING MATCHUP:

Criff Ree (3-4) 3.38 ERA

PHILLIES: Last time out Clifton went 8 innings with 10 strikeouts against his former team who had been struggling, but still has a better offense than the Reds. Complete game shut out.

Homer Bailey (3-1) 2.08 ERA

REDS: Carlos Ruiz is hitting .667 off of him life time. Other than that, let’s just hope it doesn’t go 19 innings again.

7:05 PM on CSN and ESPN2

PITCHING MATCHUP:

Roy Halladay (6-3) 2.21 ERA

PHILLIES: Last time Roy faced the Reds he had a face-breakingly awesome performance in which he threw something called a no-hitter or some shit. We can’t expect the same out of him but a complete game shutout wouldn’t hurt.

Travis Wood (3-3) 5.17 ERA

REDS: This guy almost no-hit us once when we swept them for four games last year and followed that with a similar performance in relief of Edinson Volquez when he was taken out of Roy’s no-hitter early on for getting smacked around. His ERA is pretty sweet, the Phils will be hard-pressed to score some runs off of this guy.

7:05 PM on PHL 17 and MLB Network

PITCHING MATCHUP:

Vance Worley (2-0, 1.13 ERA)

PHILLIES: The kid takes the bump tonight in the place of the injured Joe Blanton. Vance could be in the rotation for a while, beecause nobody really knows just how serious Blanton’s injury is, but he’s meeting with Dr. James Andrews who is the guy for fucked up elbows. If Vance keeps pitching like he has been, I’m a-okay with him as the fifth-starter for as long as he’s needed.

Johnny “Banana Grabber” Cueto (2-1, 1.45 ERA)

RED LEGS: Cueto is making just his forth start of the season after some shoulder problems, and was on the hook for the loss in his last start against the Buccos.

Big ups to @MooseKnuckles12 for the Worley Hulk ‘shop.

7:05PM on CSN

PITCHING MATCHUP:

PHILLIES: Cole Hamels absolutely dominates the Reds every single time he pitches against them. Last time he pitched against them THIS happened. I expect he dominates them again.

REDS: He makes fun of himself.

Game 2

6:07PM on TBS

PITCHING MATCHUP:

Roy Oswalt (13-13) 2.76 ERA

PHILLIES: Little Roy has the tall task of following up Big Roy’s ridiculous performance in game 1, but I think we all know how this one is going. Oswalt is going 7 or 8 innings with at least 9 K’s while giving up 1 run or less. Phillies win. Reds cry. We laugh.

Bronson Arroyo (17-10) 3.88 ERA

REDS: Seriously, this guy is wayyy too easy to make fun of. I feel like making fun of him is pointless with what a good job he does of making fun of himself. That said, he is a big pile of douche. Howard homers off him.

Lineup: Victorino CF, Polanco 3B, Utley 2B, Howard 1B, Werth RF, Rollins SS, Ibanez LF, Ruiz C, Oswalt P.
