The incomparable ‘Duk over at Yahoo!’s Big League Stew (pronounced ‘Duck’ as in Howard The and not ‘Duke’ as in of Earl)  has been running a series of fan-aided reviews for each Major League ballpark.  The 4th stadium picked to be judged (but #1 in our hearts) was the georgeous Citizens Bank Park, home of your Fightin’ Phils.

One of the guest-reviewers was Yours Truly, and I’d like to think I dropped some knowledge on fools, yo.

Watch how cool this is as I fulfill one of my lifelong dreams of putting one of my own quotes from someone else’s article into blockquotes on my own site.  Trippy, maan:

“If you’re in the mood for a snack, try the Pennsylvania Dutch Funnel Cake next to Tony Luke’s tucked inside Ashburn Alley. When you take it back to your seat, look for a fan of the opposing team in the row in front of you and blow the powdered sugar all over his or her back.  I guarantee it’ll still be there in the 9th inning.”  - me

And there’s more where that came from!  Go read it, and feel free to leave a comment at BLS complimenting my genius recommendations.

The Fightins’ drew first blood against Boston in front of a raucous, sold-out crowd in South Philadelphia last night. A fired-up Phillies team practically put the game away after the 2nd pitch in the bottom of the 1st when defending NL MVP Jimmy Rollins cleansed a Colon fastball deeeep into right field. Three batters later, Ryan Howard hit the first of his two opposite field homers on the night to make it 3-0, and that would be all they needed. Hamels was sharp as usual, the only blemishes being back-to-back solo shots surrendered to Dustin Pedroia & JD Booo in the fifth.

After the jump, some more game notes…

UPDATE: Per request, more pink ape man at the bottom.
