So I’m reading the new Sports Illustrated whilst dropping a deuce sipping tea in my breakfast nook this morning, and I’m meandering through all the little trashy pieces in the front of this rag before getting to the (pretty decent) article about Carl Crawford and baserunning. You know, the sign of the apocalypse, the pop culture grid, that kind of nonsense.

I like to scan “Who’s Hot, Who’s Not” for Philly stuff and wasn’t disappointed to see JA Happ mentioned as someone who’s hot right now.

The Phillies newest reliever, Jack Taschner, obviously wasn’t a part of the 2008 WFC squad that received their rings yesterday at the Citizens Bank Park ceremony. But still, he didn’t want to feel completely left out of the festivities, so he brought his own damn ring.
