Ryan Howard tried to warn him a few weeks ago after he nearly decapitated two Phillies workers in the Bright House Field press box, but Geoff Jenkins obviously ignored Howard’s sound, “Watch Out, Bro” advice.

Jesus, Geoff, we made a t-shirt and everything!

Thankfully, Jenkins stayed in the game and didn’t seem to have any lingering injury.

Oh yeah, and Howard’s at-bat would resume.

So, on top of Shane Victorino’s back injury, we now have to deal with the fact that Geoff Jenkins morphed into a 260 lb. third baseman who wears a first baseman’s mitt. Wonderful.

Geoff Jenkins was the latest player to fall victim to the dreaded broken bat attack.  Only this time, the injury was self-inflicted. 

Watch as Jenkins swings at a Josh Johnson offering that breaks his bat at the handle, catapulting the barrel into his shoulder sending Geoff to the canvas:
