I love LA’s emotion and love for the phillies every game he calls….he was legitimately speechless here….awesome

  2. maria says:

LA was either speechless or choking.

  3. Mark says:

God I wish that was Harry calling it. I like Franzke but, I can’t imagine what Harry’s call would of sounded like

  4. zack says:

so is that what a professional hitter does?

  5. FuquaManuel says:

Where is Harry anyways? Is comcast doing TV coverage for the series?

  6. Gonzo says:

I think I heard Wheels screaming in the background. Truly awesome man.

  7. Mike says:

Nah Gonzo, that was LA screaming and wildin’ out…

I dunno what the deal is with Harry… it seems that he is calling the games less and less with every passing week =(. I know him and Wheeler can’t be in the same room together… but lately he’s not even there when Wheels isn’t around….

  8. beef says:

Larry musta been sippin on something just as that ball was hit.

    oh! git! *cough* burk!

god bless Larry (I will not use the phrase “LA” till this series is over)

  9. MikeY says:

    @ Mike:

Harry does innings 1-3 and 7-9 on TV and innings 4-6 on the radio during the regular season.

During the playoffs, with him not being on TV, I think he’s doing innings 3-7 on the Radio with Franzke and LA doing innings 1, 2, 8 and 9.

  10. The Juggernaut says:

    Larry Anderson is the man!!!!

  11. Rick says:

When i heard it on the post game show, i thought LA said “OH SHIT”

  12. Matt says:

I could watch this everyday for the rest of my life. Brilliant.

  13. Gonzo says:

Thanks for commenting on this, Matt. It showed up in the recent comments and it was fun to watch this again.

  14. Watrick says:

I started reading this blog this year, and didn’t know you had the clip with LA and Franzke. This is truly awesome. I can’t wait to have kids, and then have them be 19 and not see a winner their whole life, and I can be like, “When that fat Canadian Bacon hit that ball, my life changed. For the first time in my life I thought, we have this-we’re going to actually win a title…. I’m speechless…”

  15. Lynniemac says:

” I can’t wait to have kids, and then have them be 19 and not see a winner their whole life…”

I think that might qualify for pre-parental cruelty, wishing that on your yet-to-be-born kids.

  16. Paaaaaay-dro's hair now says:

Scott, when can you move to CSN and get rid of McCarthy?

  17. Watrick says:

It was more based on empirical records of championships in this city, not so much as “I wish the teams don’t win” senario. Loosely based on my dad bringing up the 1980 team anytime something good was happening to the Phillies. I’m just glad I don’t have to hear about that all the time now.

  18. Tug Haines says:

    Thanks for bumping this again.

    Bump.

  19. Matt says:

    “Here’s Rollins!”

  20. Dave says:

    Here’s Rollins indeed

Awesome Website! Personally I love our new carpet runner. It’s a great first impression to friends visiting to my place. And the carpets are very enjoyable to walk on! Never again do I have to experience the pain of walking on glacial stairs in the morning. It also supresses the sound produced from walking on it! I extremely advise everyone to get one! It’s besides a perfect safety addition to your home. Trust me, falling on a stair with a carpet runner is much more enjoyable than falling on one without any!
