we looked like the Rays did against Boston, hittin homeruns left and right, and in Ryan Howards case, his HRs were hit left and right
I love how they were just speechless after Blanton ripped one. Whether they were searching for stats to give or just were shocked, dead air besides the fans screaming.
actually, this is some of mccarver’s best commentary of the playoffs. “Unbelievable”…..there really isn’t much left to say, is there?
I was up in 309 last night and the only reaction I had for Blanton’s homer was laughing until I cried. I cracked up for about five solid minutes. What a meast. He and Stairs will never pay another bar tab in this town for the rest of their lives.
I was laughing when Blanton hit that out too but only because me and my friends discussed it during Blantons second at bat. My friend was like “what if he hit a GS right here.”
I said that he might actually be capable of doing that, if he ever makes some contact. Hes so big and goes out there, closes his eyes and swings as hard as he can. He had to have some power
