I wonder if they just added a beard to the Cliff Lee bobbleheads and changed the name… May 18th was originally scheduled as Cliff Lee bobblehead night.

It is a new design, really, because these are made from casts, not drawings. They needed to create a new little sculpture of Roy.

That can’t be Roy Halladay. That pitcher has the delivery motion of someone with an unusually high BABIP, a WHIP over 1.50 and a K per 9 rate of only 4.8.

Troy, yes, there’s a ring for that. I was there when the ‘93 Phils got their NL pennant rings. John Kruk had his last chemo treatment that morning; and I still remember the hug Fregosi gave him when he came out for his ring, and the double he smacked in his first AB.
