The Return of “No Questions Asked”
Posted by meech.one at 5:40 pm ET 4 Comments

With all these like I saids, that’s all I askeds, and tip your hats that Shane has been tossing around in interviews lately, I was afraid he was slowly drifting apart from the all-time best, “No questions asked.”

Thankfully, it made a triumphant return last night in the locker room following the game.  I’m not quite sure where this footage is from, but I think it was shot by someone on the site Vin Scully Is My Homeboy.  Thank you, kind sir.

You don’t even have to wait long either, after question #1 Shane declares, “No questions asked.”  When clearly there was, in fact, a question asked.

For the record, I counted:

  • 6 “Like I saids”
  • 1 “No questions asked”
  • 18 “Ummmms”
  • 18 “Ya knows”
  • 3 “Kick starts”

Definitely no questions asked. Like I said, there’s no better way to kickstart an interview than to answer a question w/ a questions. Like I said, the greatest Phils orator ever, no questions asked.

He uses “umms” the way I use commas, and his entire quote can be written as a single sentence, which for me is harder than it sounds.

Is that the best Dodgers blog out there? That guy sucks.
