The Fightins’ show some fight (with Harry Kalas on the call)

After the Atlanta Braves put up a 9-spot in the 4th inning against Hollywood Hamels, things looked bleak for the Phillies. And then, just one inning later, their bats came alive. Following RBI’s by Ryan Howard and Pat Burrell, Chris Coste made it a 2-run game with a cue shot off the end of his bat down the right-field line. That put runners at the corners with 2 outs for the best pinch-hitter in all the land, Greg Dobbs.

    1) I love Harry’s calls

    2) I love that Sarge acknowleged Harry with a “welcome back”. That’s pretty classy. I really, really like Sarge in the booth.

    (2) Cherry on the icing on the cake would have been an immediate, “Can ya believe it?!”

    I agree John. Hearing Harry make that call gave me some major goosebumps.

    Couple nice comebacks in a row. I was scared Gillick might make an irrational trade before the deadline if we kept losing. Definately don’t want Manny Ramirez.
