WHAAA???
That picture of a 2-foot cake version of the late Harry Kalas showed up on the Phillies Twitter feed last night prior to the Phillies 8-6 beating of the New York Yankees. According to the Inquirer‘s Gonzo, Cosmi’s Pastries made the cake in hopes of getting the FOX crew to show it on TV, thus earning the South Philly bakery some free national pub. Unfortunately for Cosmi’s, those beat reporters in the press box got their grubby little hands on the thing before any TV cameras could get near it.
Although to be honest, I highly doubt FOX would’ve shown that thing — they don’t have much time for nonsense like this when there’s some good Derek Jeter fellating to be done.
Gonzo also shares this choice line with us — when someone asked if the Harry Kalas cake was in poor taste, one of the witty beat reporters goes, “No – Harry’s delicious.” HI-YOOOOO!

Fayleez: Except when he ate the head he ended up like the Nazi sympathizer in Indiana Jones: Last Crusade. Thought he was getting immortality but instead he melted away like ice cream in August.

so why is Joe Buck being nice to us this year?
he has been surprisingly not terrible and says we have the best ballpark in America.
Plus, every time they talk about the Yanks signing someone, he says they “bought” them. Idk about you guys, but he hasn’t been too bad this year.
Unfortunately, Tim McCarver is still an idiot.
I have noticed that too Pat and it bothers me. I love hating him but lately he is trying to make himself appealing.

yeah Pat, he was on DNL yesterday afternoon and he was speaking like a regular guy who likes sports. no company guy.. he was being real. i sorta.. liked him. Maybe hes not so bad and fox pushes him to be something hes not so comfortable with. Not a popular opinion, but im glad Pat brought it up.
It’s lesser of two evils for Buck right now. I think he hates New York even more than Philadelphia. Can’t say I blame him.
Buck kept reeling off Howards K total last night like we all forgot, that was annoying.
I have no issue with Buck or McCarver this year…..
….except when they try to sell me on FOX TRAX.
