Sarge Matthews & Garry Maddox To Throw Out First Pitch Tonight

In a brilliant move, the Phillies have recruited two Phillies greats to throw out the ceremonial first pitch — the MVP of the ‘83 NLCS and the most stylish man in broadcasting, Sarge Matthews, along with overseer of the Phillies annual BBQ challenge and coverer of one-quarter of the earth’s surface, Garry Maddox.

I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to kick-off the series.

Christ, Maddox looks like the could still suit up and play. I’d rather see him out there as a defensive replacement for Burrell than Bruntlett.

yeah, but his hat selection leaves a lot to be desired.
