Unbeknownst to some, Chase Utley wasn’t the only Phillies player to curse on live TV during that most glorious of weeks in late October of aught eight. It just so happens that Pat Burrell was being interviewed in what looks like the locker room after their World Series winning half of Game 5 and, while reminiscing about the nonsense that occurred with the rain and the cold and that moron commissioner, the sweatered wonder had this to say:

“It happened pretty quick, ya know, and that’s weird to say because of the rain delay and all that other [S-BOMB!] that happened. It happened so fast, I thought I’d be prepared but I wasn’t.”

I don’t know how this clip hasn’t been around before, but I imagine it had something to do with Phillies fans being too busy popping bottles of champagne, screaming loudly, and flipping over cars. (Wow, that night was great.)

Anyhoo, here it is. I apologize if the audio sucks; I couldn’t tell if the volume was low on the video or if it was the piece of [S-BOMB!] computer I’m using.

I’m clearly not emotionally prepared for the Pat The Bat era to end here in Philly and I refuse to even acknowledge the situation until it happens.
