Kevin Millwood pays tribute to Harry the K

Here’s a nice little Harry Kalas shout out from Kevin Millwood that I missed a week ago. Last Thursday, when the ex-Phillies pitcher was facing the Blue Jays, you will notice that Millwood wrote the initials ‘HK’ on the right side of his cap in honor of the late, great Phillies broadcaster.
Back on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Vet back in ‘03, Millwood had the honor of having Harry call his only career no-hitter against the San Francisco Giants. I’m sure Kevin — like myself — has that game on DVD and occasionally fast-forwards to the end to hear the man’s call. Good stuff, Millwood.

GRRRRRR, it was ‘03. Sorry about that, Sham. Although I think you need to recalibrate your memory by about 4 years.

Millwood is still in the majors?????? That’s news to me. Glad to see he still looks back on his days in Philly fondly.

I really hate when people I’m comfortable loathing go and do something classy.

Classy move by Millwood, winning over some Phils Phans still to this day.
@Gaze, Dude that has to be one of the funniest reads of this year.

Nice tribute. Very classy by Millwood.
Wanna hear something fucked up though? I was a freshman at Penn State when Millwood was pitching his no-hitter, and I couldn’t watch it because Penn State had no fucking Comcast. Can you believe that shit? I did get to see the final two innings, as ESPN cut to it, but that’s fucked up.
Even more fucked up, I graduated in 2006, and Penn State/State College got fucking Comcast in 2007! What the fuck?

Very classy move by Millwood. I actually have some fond memories of the guy, and don’t speak so badly about him like others do.

so did he fashion that HK out of his head-sweat?
but classy, K-Mill, classy.
