Even the die hardiest of Phillies fans may not recognize the name Pete Mackanin. Shit, up until last night, I thought he was movie critic Richard Roeper and just somehow finagled his way into the Phillies dugout a bunch of times. As it turns out, he’s actually the Phillies bench coach and has been for the entire year!
Boy is my face red!
Anyhow, last night was Mackanin’s turn to shine as T-Mac and Wheels were all set to interview him when they returned from commercial break in the top of the third inning. Unfortunately for Pete, who seems like a good enough guy, Scott Eyre and his merry band of pranksters noticed Mackanin was about to go live! on camera and decided they would do everything in their power to make his appearance on Comcast as uncomfortable as possible.
So while Pete was trying to hold a conversation with the guys in the booth, he also had to contend with the players in the dugout showering him with sunflower seeds and putting tape over his mouth.
And I must say, Pete did a most admirable job of maintaining his composure the whole time.

Thank you for this! Not because of Pete McKannin or whatever his name is but because I have been trying to find a video of the Dobbs catch after missing the game last night. And it was a part of this video!

This is funny. I want to watch this stuff when it goes down. I wish Comcast would run cable up and down 563. One 13-mile stretch of road in South Jersey is the only place that Comcast doesn’t go. At least allow DirecTV to offer me a CSN Philly package! Double turds!

I loathe the popusp too, but I’ve learned to pretend they don’t exist. Keeps the aneurysms in check. It would amuse me no end to see Jimmy drop and do pushups at the plate next time it happens, though.
