I’m tired, folks. It’s damn near 2:00 in the morning and I just walked in the door from the most incredible baseball game that I have ever attended in my life. I got work early tomorrow and I really need to get to bed. BUT FIRST…
Relive the excitement.
Thank dmac for sending over the video so I don’t have to stay up another half-hour and rip it.

October 20th, 2009 at 1:51 am
Nothing beats the video but I also have a youtube of the audio highlights from WPHT of the bottom of the 9th with Franzke, LA, and Jim Jackson

Standing room tickets… left field… it was a mosh pit when Chooch scored. Best game I’ve ever been to. Just got home too… amazing.
October 20th, 2009 at 1:54 am
A. FUCKING. MAZING.
October 20th, 2009 at 2:00 am
INSANE and INCREDIBLE!
October 20th, 2009 at 2:00 am
i havent gotten chills like that since brads world series winning strike out
October 20th, 2009 at 2:01 am
i could watch that forever
October 20th, 2009 at 2:02 am
Franzke’s call is great. It will be an injustice if Tom McCarthy is allowed within ten feet of a microphone next season, and Franzke is still exiled to the radio. Dude deserves some TV time.
October 20th, 2009 at 2:09 am
great great video…best philly sport game i have been at since game 6 flyers vs. tampa bay…btw, everyone at the ballpark love the Defend Broad Street and Panamania shirts…you guys rock
October 20th, 2009 at 2:11 am
@Nick: Leftfield standing terrace was great, some awesome personalities. I have stories to tell, but that’ll wait till tommorow. Off to bed. Go Phils!
October 20th, 2009 at 2:13 am
did anyone notice that chip carey said “here is the throw to the plate” during the last play? newsflash chip: that never happened. chooch is too fast.
October 20th, 2009 at 2:16 am
I think even Randy Wolf Wanted to do a fist pump for this
October 20th, 2009 at 2:19 am
Me and my boy Jim were first row in ashburn for 6 innings, but could not ignore the n00bs around us any longer, so we moved around the 100’s for the next inning and a half. A guy with crutches, a broken leg, and a son comes up to Jim and says “here’s our tickets. we’re leaving, you have the seats.”. Section 123. Row 11. Seats 1 and 2. A perfect view. After hardly being able to not suck his dick in gratification, we sprint down the stairs to our seats, past all the n00bs leaving the game early. We realized that this would not happen unless God was going to give us a show. The Phillies couldn’t lose at this point. We knew it was over. The greatest 40 minutes of our lives. Fuck the mets.
October 20th, 2009 at 2:27 am
the best is the end when there is something said like, ‘take that mother fuckers…’

SO glad I was there, will remember it until I die… so glad the motherfucking dockers crowd who shelled out $300 for 10th row seats all left after the 8th inning. You can tell your grandkids about how you were pulling out of the parking lot when J-roll smacked it to right and the place EXPLODED.
October 20th, 2009 at 3:05 am
I always heard people talk about those games where you’re not just high fiving everyone you see, but hugging total strangers. Tonight I got to experience it, and it was fucking awesome.
Can’t believe people had the gonads to leave early when THIS TEAM was only down a run.
October 20th, 2009 at 3:10 am
I will never understand why people leave when the Phillies are down. It ain’t over till it’s over!
October 20th, 2009 at 6:46 am
Did anyone else hear that douchebag TBS announcer when they showed all the Phils fans outside after the game cheering “Beat LA”? He said, “You’re gonna have to wait a day, put a sock in it!” What a fucking toolbox! We all know who they are pulling for…Assholes.
October 20th, 2009 at 7:08 am
Franzke needs to stay on the radio because his play by play is the best. When he’s not calling the game its unbearable to listen to.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:50 am
I hope the TBS announcers and Joe Fox and Tim McBuck cheer for the Dodgers and the Yankees and the Patriots and the Cowboys and whoever….
We will just keep sticking it up their arses.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:55 am
Was there. Unbelieveable.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:59 am
Anyway to get this in .mp3 format?
October 20th, 2009 at 9:22 am
This team rocks my face off.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:29 am
Seriously, I fucking love these guys.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:36 am
MLB awarded a bunch of Clutch Plays of the Game. NONE from teams who actually won yesterday.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:49 am
Thanks Phillies, for the. best. baseball. call.
(thanks to Meech too!)
October 20th, 2009 at 10:11 am
You can literally hear Larry Anderson’s uncontrollable giddyness. Love this shit; fuck yea!
October 20th, 2009 at 10:13 am
i’ve listened to this about 5 times already and i can already tell you it’ll never get old. i can’t stop smiling after i listen to this. i love being a philly phan right now. hopefully they have 5 more wins in them somewhere. love this call.
October 20th, 2009 at 10:24 am
Awesome. I can’t say anything else but “AWESOME”.
October 20th, 2009 at 10:58 am
did anyone notice the guys in the bullpen jumping up and down when they show where jimmy’s hit landed? fucking classic. really awesome to see these guys so into it.
October 20th, 2009 at 11:00 am
I have no voice and am still pretty drunk but what an amazing game.
October 20th, 2009 at 11:04 am
this is officially my new porn!
October 20th, 2009 at 11:05 am
instant good mood even tho it’s been some 10+ hours since this most memorable of wins. As for the bandwagoners…those are the same losers who left in the 8th so screw ‘em. 5 MORE TO GO!!!
October 20th, 2009 at 11:11 am
Cot dam mother fuckers!COT DAM!
October 20th, 2009 at 11:20 am

October 20th, 2009 at 11:34 am
This is goosebump inducing. I loved seeing Howard tacke Rollins at 3rd base. So happy for Rollins.
October 20th, 2009 at 11:39 am
I was at the game too, unbelievable. Got in bed at 3:30, up for work at 6.
October 20th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
My absolute favorite part of the video footage is when it flashes to the CF shot after Bruntlett has scored and you can see Happ and the bullpen guys going absolutely apeshit. BEAUTIFUL.
October 20th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
Anybody here the Dodgers call? Vin Scully is dead silent for 30 seconds after Ruiz scores its funny as hell. I wish I could find the audio. Great call Franzke
October 20th, 2009 at 12:19 pm
Phillies magic.
October 20th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
@ Dan. I was wondering if there was a full play camera shot of them because they just lost it out there. And i can’t stop watching this.
October 20th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
The only thing better than being there last night, is listening to Franzke’s call. That guy has a set of pipes made for calling baseball games. Fuckin love it.
October 20th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
i just watched the video ten times.
now i am going to watch it ten more.
and tonight i will watch it again.
October 20th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
I have watched this video at least a dozen times today… UN-BE-LIE-VA-BLE
October 20th, 2009 at 2:19 pm
Nothing better than listening to announcers that truly believe in the team. Nothing will ever match Harry’s call last year, but this one comes pretty damn close.
October 20th, 2009 at 2:31 pm
i didnt realize someone would take the torch this quickly.. but as soon as the game was over.. bunch of comments and requests were made for the Franske/Larry call. these two better stay a pair because we cherrish them already. With the absence of Harry, Scott is taking the lead roll as the most passionate-professional since ol HK himself. i want him or larry to sing that song on the field one day
October 20th, 2009 at 5:02 pm
It would be awesome if you could post Vin Scully’s call as well. He literally just went silent for about 30 seconds after Ruiz scored. Priceless.
October 20th, 2009 at 5:02 pm
Oppo Boppo!!!!
October 20th, 2009 at 6:45 pm
…i love watching the guys in the bullpen losing their shit while Ethier tries to make the play.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:09 pm
That was fantastic! Not living in the area anymore, I really hardly ever hear LA and Franzke call a game, I wouldn’t even say I’m familiar with any of our broadcasters anymore except Wheels, and LA to an extent. So I thought it wouldn’t be the same as hearing the replays of Harry calling the WS last year, but it totally was. Goosebumps for real. I am definitely shelling out for the mlb.tv radio broadcasts next year!
October 21st, 2009 at 12:39 am
…..and Franske cements the reason why he should be the one to fill Harry’s microphone. Best #phillies call I’ve heard not done by Harry the K.
October 21st, 2009 at 11:22 am
10 ok. i’ll just watch it one more time.
20 /watches video
30 goto 10

Someone needs to freez-frame ruiz in the air sliding into home and put it on a tee shirt. I’ll buy it. It’s an incredible photo if you freeze it right.
