All my Yankee fan friends are now saying “So what…it’s only one game…I don’t get why everyone’s so happy and crazy about it…” after trash talking me (being pretty much the only one in school wearing a Phils jersey) for 8 hours straight with incessant “Phillies suck” and “Lee’s overrated” (boy did THAT guy get owned) among other non-creative insults.

I had the misfortune of being in a public place where the audio over the speakers was Fox’s announcers instead of the 1210-AM team. I’ve been a Joe Buck apologist for a while now. It’s not something I’m proud of; it’s just something I feel like he’s had to do in light of these two facts: 1) His dad is a baseball broadcast legend, 2) Fox encourages his fake outrage.
But no more. With one bored glove swipe/eye roll, Cliff Lee made Joe Buck a person that cannot be apologized for any longer. That was the coolest postseason reaction since Carlton Fisk in 1975.
