Domonic Brown returns to official baseball action this afternoon
Posted by meech.one at 12:45 pm ET 12 Comments

It’s been so long since Domonic Brown has suited up for a minor league team that he forgot about the whole “high socks” rule they have going on down there. Dom will bat 3rd and start in right field for the Class-A Clearwater Threshers squad this afternoon (1:00) at Bright House Field.

I’ll be sure to update this post later with his stat line for the day.

UPDATE: After grounding out to second in his first at-bat and breaking up a perfect game with a bloop single in his second, DOM BROWN KILLED A BASEBALL in his third:

  2. Joe D says:

God he better be decent. I can’t take Francisco already. Last night he was singlehandedly responsible for a 4 run swing between his down and out he ran on the Hudson double and his wonderful ABs with men at 3rd and 1 out.

  3. Mookey says:

grounds out to 2B in his 1st AB

  4. BroadnPattison08 says:

What is this high socks rule you speak of? Just a team thing or league?

  5. meech.one says:

The entire MiLB has to wear high socks, BroadnPattison08.

    Hey, Dom,

Please lower your hands when you are in the box. Just try it for a little while and see how nice it’ll be.

Through 5 in Clearwater, Dom is 2-3 with a HR

  8. Please God, let him be good.

  9. Captain Awesome says:

So, does this mean we start building the hype all over again only to have him be a disappointment in the big leagues? I hope not. And I hope he gets the mechanics of his swing fixed asap.

  10. Tiger Woods' Escalade says:

come on cole. 4 run lead, be aggressive.

  11. Domination Brown says:
