From TMZ — your #1 source for shirtless Matthew McConaughey pics! — comes this completely embarrassing video of a couple asshole Dodger fans chucking full cups of beer on the LAPD the other night. Now I know Philly gets a bad rep from a few questionable decisions our fans may or may not have made in the past, but this clip from Chavez Ravine fucking blows away any faux pas ever committed here.
Hmmmm, let’s see, throwing snowballs at a 180 lb. intoxicated Santa Claus in 1968, or pummeling cops with beer in 2008…
I can’t decide.
(Thank you to whoever embedded this so I don’t have to redirect you to TMZ’s shitty website which forces you to sit through an unwatchable Cover Girl commercial before getting to the actual video.
Whoever you are, may your favorite baseball team flourish in the World Series.)
After the jump, video of another asshole Dodgers fan — but for a completely different reason…

p.s.
An unrelated but sorta related story…
In late March i flew up to Boston to meet up with a friend before we we flew out to San Fran for a little vacation. I walk through the airport and over to the luggage carousels. I find the one that my bags are supposed to be coming out of and wait near by. As im waiting i check my surroundings and then BAM! WHO DO I SEE? None other than a crisp and tan Peter Gammons, waiting for his bags as well. I must have been the only person to notice him. I slowly make my way over to where he was standing, and wait nearby. I watched as Mr. Gammons checked every black bag that went around the carousel but with no luck. He walks back a couple feet to where we were both now standing and waits some more. I then knew this was my opportunity to break the ice. “It’s pretty hard when they are all the same color” i said. Mr. Gammons in a frustrated tone replies, “Yea it is”. Trying to lighten the mood and cheer up my new friend from ESPN i say, “Would be alot easier if you bought leopard print”. Peter chuckles and then looks my way and notices my Phillies hat. I see that he notices and ask if he was coming back from Spring Training, and he says yes, and that he was in Tampa. I then ask “How do you think the Fightin’s will do this year?”. Gammons thinks for a second and then replies, “I wish they did a little more in the offseason, and i hope that Lidge can hold up”. I nodded and that was the extent of our conversation. Peter eventually got all 5 of his bags, and then we went our separate ways.
Moral of the story.. Lidge held up. Thank you, and goodnight

Gammons has said that if he could be on any current team right now, he’d pick the Phillies because of the clubhouse and it looks like they are having the most fun. I bet he is pulling for them to win.

Thank god we kicked LA’s ass. I never really felt strongly about the Dodgers until watching and reading some of this stuff, and the crap in the LA Times.

Sorry you guys experienced that crap at bum stadium. I’m a SF Giants fan that lives in SoCal … and that behavior is par for the course. Dodger fans are classless, and ownership just turn their heads to the issue. It’s bad where ever you sit. Another reason to hate the bums, thank you for knocking them out of the playoffs!!! Go Phillies!

also, i dont think philadelphia fans, no matter how bruttle of a reputation would ever, ever do something disrespectful to an officer at a game. of course, that applies to the 99.99% that actually has respect for officers given the current events that have taken place in 2008.

Dodgers fans are awesome, most passionate fans in baseball bar none. I’ve been to every major league stadium except for 6 (haven’t been to the new Phillies stadium yet, but it looks amazing, next trip to Philly I’ll be there to check it out). Check out the attendance numbers, or better yet come to game, you’ll see every race, color, age and all of them are crazy about the Dodgers and about baseball. It’s like a religion for some people– maybe it’s because there’s no football team.
I will say though, I’ve been to almost every NFL stadium (I work in a sports-related field) and the craziest, best fans I ever saw were Eagles fans at the old stadium against the Cowboys. I almost got my ass kicked 3 times and I was rooting for the Eagles! Love it.

Dodger baseball like a religion? Seriously? The MOST passionate fans in baseball? Are you freaking kidding? Half of the damn fans don’t show up until the 3rd inning and then half of the idiots leave well before the game is over. If by passionate you mean dumb morons that constantly get into fights because they’re a bunch of gangbanging thugs then you’re spot on. I’ve been to a couple of games there and it felt like someone could die at any moment. And someone did. One of those “passionate” Dodgers fans that you speak of shot and killed a Giants fan in the parking lot. I’m sure there are really good Dodgers fans but from what I saw, a great majority of them are idiot thugs who go to games for the beer and the fights and an opportunity to wear their gang colors in mass unison. F the Dodgers and F the Latrine.

That first video is one of the reasons this Dodger fan hasn’t sat in the outfield at Dodger Stadium in 6 years. Those people aren’t Dodger fans, they’re just gangbangers that only go to games to start fights with opposing fans, hit beachballs around, start the wave, and blindly cheer for Tommy Lasorda. If the Raiders were still in town, these guys would be doing the same thing there instead and respectful fans like me could enjoy the game in peace.
Congrats on the series win and good luck in the world series, the Dodgers got outplayed and at least most of the NLCS was fun to watch. Game 4 was amazing even if it didn’t turn out the way I wanted.
Re: TJ Simers – ignore him, it’s all schtick so that he can get tons of hate mail.
BTW – I got some good natured ribbing when I went to Citizens Bank Park this past August (in Dodger gear), but when I went there for Game 2, no way was I going to wear Dodger gear b/c no matter how quiet/respectful of a fan I am, I want to avoid the few people (out of the thousands of well-behaved fans) that could potentially ruin my night.
Re: showing up late and leaving early at Dodger Stadium – it’s not as bad a problem as it used to be, but of the top of my head there’s a couple of reasons why it still appears this way. 1) The parking lots were designed in the 60s and the only way into the stadium is to drive there. They just redid the lot entrance and exit schemes and they started a free stadium shuttle, so it’s gotten better, but it’s still a pain to get there and leave if you park in the stadium lots. Also, people do stay to the end – Dodger fans have at least been doing so since the 02-04 bullpens gave them more reason to not want to beat the rush out. 2) Lots of the empty seats are in the pricier sections – lots of those are corporate season ticket holders who have no interest in watching the game and so they don’t show or people get them scalped and show up later.
