Oh, no questions asked.
Shortly after laying a 4-for-5 spot with a homer, four RBI, and five runs scored on the hapless Reds last night, the man hoping to grab that 33rd and final roster spot on the NL All-Star team gave a ring to Karl Ravech and them over at Baseball Tonight. I missed the beginning of the interview, but luckily I changed channels just in time to catch the obligatory NQA. You don’t get to hear Karl’s groundbreaking question that prompted Shane’s response, but it was something along of lines of did Shane think he would’ve gotten a double on the fair ball that the ballgirl interfered with. Then Ravech tried to clarify that Shane actually meant “no doubt about it” when he said NQA. No shit, buddy. Don’t try to translate him for us, okay Karl?
We speak fluent Shane around these parts.

Has Shane caught on to our waiting for the NQA in all his interviews yet?
July 7th, 2009 at 11:31 am
@HB – we counted him saying “you know” 27 times.. Maybe thats becoming the new NQA?!?!?

I love it. What a game Shane had last night too. If the Phillies didn’t score 22 runs, as odd as this sounds, Victorino probably would have gotten more pub for his valient efforts. Sandoval hitting a grand slam didn’t help either.
VOTE VICTORINO!

Shane on WIP right now and he’s said “No Questions Asked” a couple times already ha!

@al
“you know” or “like you know” is Hamels’ phrase. Must be rubbing off on Shane. Watch any Hamels’ interview and I guarantee 5 “you know”s.

Shane and Hamels drops “You know’s” like Muffin drops “no doubles defenses”

@ james: that’s classic!
