And that's not just because I happen to be a Phillies fan, but because the World Series is such a fantastic part of fall and of the game. I have to admit over the last decade or so the seeming omnipresence of the Yankees or Red Sox combined with the horrificness of the Fox broadcast with Jeanne Zelasko and taco bell and skeeter have taken a lot of the luster off of the event for me. But the excitement of '08 and '09 have made me realize that, even without the Phillies, the World Series is still one of the best things about sports, no matter how much Fox tries to squeeze every dollar out of it.
