Also good were these two signs, shown in the first inning when A-Rod came to bat. If it wasn’t going to be a centaur joke, I’m glad it was a steroids one.

November 3rd, 2009 at 11:05 am
@jd
Then you must hate Cheryl Miller.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:09 am
I thought I was the only one who saw this.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:09 am
I don’t know if getting in A-rod’s ass is a good thing… but hey, who am I to judge.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:18 am
So let’s see… bad calls by Charlie in last nights game.
1. Leaving Lee in to pitch the 8th with a 6 run lead… It wasn’t bad cause Lee gave up some runs it was just bad cause if they do get to a game 7 and plan to use Lee why overwork him?
2. Taking out Victorino and putting Ben Francisco in his spot in stead of Raul Ibanez’s spot. Ibanez was so close to catch that double. Not to say that Mr. Francisco would of definitely caught it but …. you know. And Victorino’s hand could still catch balls, I’m sure of that.. swinging on the other hand, prob not… Should just pinched hit for him.
3. Pinch hitting with Matt stairs and not anybody else on the team. Does anyone know when the last time Matt Stairs hit a ball? Seriously now… thanks for last year vs. the Dodgers Matt but come on. I know Charlie was looking home run and all but doesn’t look like it’s ever going to happen again for Mr. stairs. (PLEASE prove me wrong Wednesday)
Oh yeah during game 3 this dude on twitter was talking to me about me how the Phillies Bullpen isn’t “that” bad And don’t buy into the media. I don’t know about you guys but last nights game Madson almost made me shit myself.
Ok that’s the end of my complaining… Good win boys!

Moob over, A-Rod…
Utley’s Series.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:21 am
sigh…and we live on to fight another night. If we win this i will never complain about baseball again.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:38 am
Knew I’d see this sign. Fightins never disappoints.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:41 am

November 3rd, 2009 at 11:48 am
what was the official reason for taking Victorino out? I didn’t understand this move?
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:52 am
This has to be a joke….. I really hope it is but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Jonesy, with a 6 run lead he wanted to give Victorino’s hand as much rest as possible, so as not to risk aggravating it.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:56 am
@ShawnJames
After last year, isn’t criticizing the moves made by Charlie kind of silly?
I don’t agree with some of them, but I trust him.
He’s earned it.
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Ibanez hit a 420 foot homer. Sure he didn’t catch a tough ball but he hit a monster that will hopefully boost his confidence into game six.
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Purple-Lipped Roid Freak. That is awesome!
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:16 pm
To be fair, I seem to remember lots of people on here saying last year that if they won the World Series, they’d never complain again. And yet, here we are, complaining once again.
I don’t like the moves in the 9th by Cholly the past 2 games. Putting Lidge and his fragile psyche out there in a tie game is bizarre, and Madson was clearly exhausted last night after pitching all of those games in a row. His fastball was 3-4 mph slower than normal. I’m kind of surprised that Durbin, who has been great thus far in the postseason, hasn’t seen any action. Does he have the flu?
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:17 pm
Pardon me, I meant, didn’t see any action over the past two days. He pitched on Halloween.
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:42 pm
It’s hard not to hate on A-Rod. Comes with his $30 million salary.

(sung to the song “Uncle Albert”—Paul McCartney
We’re so sorry, Uncle Cholly.
But you really don’t seem to have a clue.
We’re so sorry, Uncle Cholly.
But the Phils have fightin spirit, and will win in spite of you.
November 3rd, 2009 at 1:40 pm
I don’t hate A-Rod. Mostly because he is a great player, I don’t give a crap about steroids really, and everyone else hates him.
November 3rd, 2009 at 1:57 pm
sung to “Mrs. Robinson”—Paul Simon
Where have you gone, Shane Victorino?
We all love the style of your play.
What’s that you say, Cholly Manuel?
Gold Glove on the bench, c’mon. No way!

November 3rd, 2009 at 8:10 pm
@Mike P – we did say we wouldn’t complain about baseball again if we won last year. But that was before we ended up playing against the Yankees and their trolls. Now the Phils have to win it for baseball, not just Philly.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:47 pm
@Nick
I already took your quiz. You sent it to me on my Facebook page. It’s also gotta be the easiest quiz I’ve ever taken.
