Who won the NLCS, Buck? Was it the Yankees, or the Red Sox?

Seriously, this is one of the stranger slips of the tongue ever. Still, it’s amazing the Phillies are now so good they’re being confused with the Yanks and Sox.

I loved that last night, he went through all the teams he wished it was. I love the dissappointment in his voice too.

the TBS crew actually had me wishing the NLDS and NLCS were on FOX by the end. What a bunch of idiots. I’d actually prefer Joe Buck.

Said it before & I’ll say it again, folks. Turn off the sound on your t.v. and turn on 1210 AM if you don’t want anymore of these t.v. d-bags. The Phillies broadcasters are great, and it’s all synced up.

I love how the crowd booed the stupid TBS suit doing the presentation-well deserved. Truly awful performance including graphics which looked like 1995, sound that went in and out, and just plain dumb commentary for the most part. Not to mention having the phils play weekday 2:30pm and 10pm games…

My favorite was how the game ending with the broadcasters saying “Well… it looks like the Phillies are going to the World Series…” with a tone of voice that was a cross between finding out Santa Clause and their puppy getting hit by a car

@Heathcliff Slocumb: Those of us with digital cable are watching on a delay. If we listen to the radio broadcast we hear what happens before we see it. Kind of ruins the TV part of it for me.

@Jay – that sucks & I can see how it would kill it. I think I’d still be tempted to live with it, but that’s just me. I love Franzke & LA and totally hate hate hate all of the national broadcasters (with few rare exceptions).

TBS announcers are HORRIBLE! They seem to hate every team unless it’s the Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers, or whichever team they like. I’d rather listen to Wheels (who’s pretty much the John Madden of baseball)!

Buck sounds like he holds his nose whenever he talks. It makes you wonder what you have to do to get an announcing job, cause I’m 90% sure a regular guy off the street who follows baseball could have done a better job that those shitheads.

Buck Martinez origianlly signed with the Phillies, and his son played in the Phillies minors,his former GM for Toronto helped build this Philly Team, Pat Gillick, I thought he was very pro-Phillies during the broadcasts and was extremely fair to both teams. I learned a great deal from him during all the broadcasts!
