my cousin went to the same HS outside atlanta as francoeur, and despite two shitty seasons in a row, he was that city’s golden boy. they love their chipper, all right (he’s from georgia too), but francoeur was homegrown all the way … get your kleenex ready for this teary eyed farewell:

@Lynniemac The Braves HATE the Mets. I’m friends with the visitors side bat boy at CBP and he told me Cox asked him last year “why do you guys always lose to us when the Mets are winning?” I think Bobby Cox hates their lack of American players…

Hey beelove, Chipper isn’t from GA. He grew up in Fla. and went to Bolles HS. Atlanta drafted him #1 overall in 1991 straight outta HS.
