People were cramming in their votes last second, so it invariably got slower.

Well… I voted for a combind 20 hours over the past two days or so. Hopefully that helps put Victorino over the top. Sucks we have to wait till 5PM to find out.

The last hour or so wasn’t moving too quickly, but if Shane had a slim lead that probably works in his favor.

For some reason I was for more adamant this year voting for Vic than I was last year voting for Pat. I guess it is because part of me last year knew that Pat would rather spend the All-Star Break banging bitches than playing baseball.

Because, years from now, we’ll look at what Shane does for this ball club, in particular the post season of ‘08 and we’ll remember one of the most character laden ballplayers that played for any team of this era. For a few snippets of Vic’s contributions I need only point to his Phillies record for RBI in the post season, that time he jumped two rows into the stands for a foul pop, when he won the ballgame in extras with a ding dong on Shane Victorino Hula Doll Day at CBP, running over Brian McCann to score a run and how ’bout that time at Coors Field when he lead the charge to save the lives of a few muscle challenged grounds crewmen when it looked as if they would drown in their own tarp?

Their have been many others…too numerous to note. But what you’ve seen here from the fans during the Vote Shane Campaign is just us giving a little back.

And of course, can’t forget “no questions asked.”

Darn it…… but….. an intresting possibility is the fact that maybe if pedro comes it would pave the way for maybe possibly happ (and a few others) to be traded for Halladay,

It would be Hamels, Halladay, Blanton, Moyer, Martiniez, not so bad, and maybe we can still keep drabek
