Today’s outing was, without question, Kyle Kendrick’s worst of the season thus far: three innings pitched with six hits, two walks and six earned runs. Four of those runs were surrendered even before the first out of the game was recorded, courtesy of back-to-back jacks by the likes of J.D. (the “D” is for “D-battery”) Drew and Mike Lowell.
The real tragedy is that the bullpen surrendered just one more run over six innings of work and none after the fourth inning, which allowed the offense time to regroup and make a game of it until the very end.
The 7-4 loss knocks the Fightin’s down to 42-32, leaving them 2.5 games up on the Marlins, who play Seattle later today. Oh, and J.D. Drew (4-5, 4RBI, 1 HR) is cordially invited to eat a bag of cocks. That is all.

Apparently, bags of cocks are the new Wheaties, they Drew’s been hitting. His success is an insult to all of us and very likely a punishment for our individual and collective sins. Oh, how angry it makes me.

Rest assured Jeffrey, we will have our revenge… in this life or the next.

J.D. Drew ripping us on the field today is like Cartman inheriting a million dollars while Kyle gets hemorrhoids. (south park) I don’t know if he takes it personally when we boo his self-righteous *ss, but he be a fool if he doesn’t understand that we would have loved him if he was humble and played for us.
I think him not signing with the team that drafted him is as obnoxious and self-centered as Eli Manning having his Daddy get him traded to NY on draft day.
Not to condemn myself or anything, but I have no qualms about his career ending like Lindros’s. I won’t be satisfied until he is a shell of the man he once was, and the sport passes him by.

Jeffrey – I blame the numbnuts who threw the D battery at him. That has forever ruined our hopes of Karma doing him in without our input. I’m sorry, but his quote after the incident that, “I’ve heard about that happening here before” makes me want to get in his face and b*tch him out. Until that single incident of a D battery being thrown, I had NEVER heard of it happening here before. What a pompous prick.

Hey, I don’t know if you guys saw this article on Pat “The Bat” Burrell but its really good and got me thinking about other class acts in baseball. I put up an all class act team on my blog, it would be nice if you guys checked it out.

While I don’t normally condone it, SOMEONE needed to throw one at JD Drew this series. The disconnect between the current players and the fans has never been as obvious as it was this series where they treated JD Drew like “just another guy.” The players need to represent Philadelphia in a situation like that.
